Shea Terrace Annual Yard Sale

The Shea Terrace Civic League hosts our Annual Yard Sale on September 11, 2010, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.. This is a great time to clear out some of that unwanted stuff that clutters our lives and saps our energy.

The rain date is Saturday September 18, 2010.  The Civic League will charge homeowners $10 to be listed on the map which will be handed out to people entering the neighborhood that day.  We will also be listting ads in the Pilot and on Craigs List..

Yard sale payments may be made to our treasurer, Georgianne Mitchell.  Please call the "Lock Doc" business number at: 397-6673 to make payment arrangements.  The requested fee helps pay for the ad, the cost of copying the maps for distribution, and other incidential costs.

Portsmouth City code requires that those holding yard sales receive a city permit.  Permits can be obtained from the Commissioner of Revenue Office at 393-8714 for $5.00. Paid participants will automatically be entered into a raffle for a hand-made picnic table. This table was built and donated by Shea Terrace resident and set designer, Bob Sauls. The Civic League will sell raffle tickets the day of the Yard Sale for $1.00 at the Shea Terrace  neighborhood entrance where the maps are distributed.
